The Fascinating History of " Assassins Creed "

The “Assassin’s creed” franchise is appreciated by many and is one of the most successful franchises that made the top 5! “Assassin’s Creed” is owned by Ubisoft, and boy, are they rich from this series. Over 73 million copies were sold by April 2014, becoming Ubisoft’s bestselling franchise ever. The founders of Ubisoft are “Christian Guillemot” “Yves Guillemot” “Gerard Guillemot” “Claude Guillemot” “Michel Guillemot”. Hats off for these five great men for finding such a successful and a great company.

Assassin's Creed I:

The very first Assassin’s Creed takes place in the Third Crusade. It was released in 2007. Altaïr ibn-La'Ahad, son of King Umer, fights for the freedom and the glory of his people. He is trained by the Brotherhood. He is known as the Legendary Assassin, and no Assassin will ever out skill him. In my opinion, Altaïr is the best.

Assassin's Creed Altair's Chronicles:

In this game, the Legendary story of Altaïr continues. He keeps on fighting, giving his best to hold of the Templars and the knights. The story continues on. It was released on the PSP.

Assassins's Creed II:

This is the story of the Master Assassin  Ezio Auditore da Firenze, a young nobleman in the late 15th Century. He watched his father and his brothers being hanged by the strict Templars. He sent his mother and sisters to a hideout at the Monteriggioni villa owned by his uncle Mario, who helps to train Ezio in the ways of an Assassin.

Assassin's Creed Bloodlines:

The Legend of Altaïr continues in Bloodlines. This game was an exclusive on the PSP, and was much better in graphics than Assassin’s Creed Chronicles of Altaïr.

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood:

Ezio returns to Monteriggioni, but the villa is soon attacked by forces under the command of Cesare Borgia, Rodrigo's son. Mario is killed and the Apple is stolen. Ezio vows revenge by helping to free the people of Rome from the Borgia family. As Ezio works covertly to turn the city against the Borgias, he gains followers that want to join his cause, and Ezio trains them in the way of the Assassins. Walk your way throughout the story, and see where it takes you.

Assassin's Creed Revelations:

Ezio travels to the Ottoman-era Constantinople where the keys are said to have been hidden by the explorer Niccolò Polo, and finds the city embroiled by the feuding brothers Selim and Ahmet vying for the Sultanate, the Templars secretly behind the battle. While searching for the keys, Ezio meets and falls in love with Sofia Sartor. Eventually, Ahmet is revealed as the agent for the Templars, and is killed by Selim, who thanks Ezio for his help but banishes him from the city for his own good. Ezio  uses the keys to witness Altaïr's memories following the death of Al Mualim. These show Altaïr having lost his wife and youngest son in the midst of a coup d'etat within the Assassins followed by a twenty-year self-imposed exile. Eventually, Altaïr returned to Masyaf, killed the usurper, and retook control. Near death, Altaïr inscribed the keys with his memories and gave them to his friend Niccoló to hide at a distant location, before disappearing into his library forever. In Ezio's present, he and Sofia go to Masyaf and open the library to find Altaïr's corpse and the Piece of Eden he possessed.

Assassin's Creed III:

This is the story of  Ratonhnhake ton, who was later called Connor by Achilles in the memory of Achilles dead son. Conner is the son of Haytham Kenway, who was a grand Templar. He and Charles Lee launch a movement to destroy Connor’s village, burn it to the ground and extend the area of their Templar order. Connor’s mother, dies in the fire along with other villagers. Conner is filled with rage, and plans to take revenge. The grandmother of the village tells Connor to look for the symbol of the Assassin Brotherhood(which he did not yet know) and find a man who will provide further training, and teach him the ways of an Assassin(that man was Achilles by the way).

Assassin's Creed Black Flag:

The story is set in the early 18th century Caribbean during the Golden Age of Piracy, and follows notorious pirate Edward Kenway, grandfather and father of Assassin's Creed III protagonists Ratonhnhaké:ton  and Haytham Kenway respectively, who stumble upon the conflict waged by the Assassins and Templars. The game spans across the Caribbean with the three main cities of Havana, Nassau and Kingston along with numerous islands, sunken ships, and forts. Players have the option to harpoon large sea animals and hunt land animals

Assassin's Creed Rouge:

This is the story of Shay Patrick Cormac, who was once part of the Brotherhood, but became a Templar. He hunts down the Assassins, and at the end, he meets with Haytham Kenway. They hunt down Achilles, but Shay spares his life. Haytham shoots him in the leg, and they set off to Versailles, where Shay assassinates Lawrence Washington.

Assassin's Creed Unity:

The memory then segues to Versailles in 1776, as Arno Dorian, a French nobleman's son, meets Elise De La Serre, daughter of the Templar Grand Master. After his father is murdered at the palace, the Grand Master De La Serre adopts Arno despite knowing his father was an Assassin; information to which Arno is oblivious. The story then skips forward 13 years, to Elise's initiation into the Templar order in 1789. Arno is given a message to deliver to Msr. De La Serre, but puts it in his office in order to sneak into the party to meet with Elise. After meeting her, Arno sneaks out, and finds Msr. De La Serre murdered in a courtyard. Arno, mistaken to be De La Serre's killer, is captured by the gendarmerie and imprisoned in the Bastille. There, he finds apocalyptic writings on the wall and impresses a fellow prisoner, the Assassin Bellec, with his fighting skills. Bellec invites Arno into the Brotherhood when they escape during the Storming of the Bastille.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate:

In 1868, at the tail end of the Industrial Revolution, with the Assassin Brotherhood all but eradicated, twins Jacob and Evie Frye leave Crawley for London and arrive to find a city controlled by the Templars, with both the Church and the Monarchy losing their power. Raised as Assassins to follow the Creed, Jacob and Evie aim to take back the city from Templar control by infiltrating and uniting London's criminal underworld, aided by notable figures of the era such as novelist Charles Dickens and biologist Charles Darwin.
